Snow Leopard Issues

Ever since I installed Snow Leopard, my system intermittently froze for exactly 40 seconds. It drove me nuts as it happened about once or twice every hour. I'm glad to say that issue has been resolved as Apple released an update this week that seems to have solved this issue.
Another issue I had was trying to re-install my Canon Pixma MP620 printer. The printer is connected wirelessly through the network and it took me a while to figure this out.
So for those of you who still need to do this or are having problems, try these steps:
1) Download the updatedCanon IJ Network Utility.
2) Run Apple's Software Update (I forgot about this and took me about an hour to figure this out)
3) You should be able to see your MP620 through the network now

Time Machine backup problems

I've been trying for the past week to back up my data but I haven't been able to because Time Machine (for Mac) keeps failing out. Every time I tried to run a backup, the system would stall out and output "Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while copying files to the backup volume."

After some research, I discovered out how to view the errors since the error popup was not descriptive at all. You have two options, you can type out backupd in Console and that will output the errors. The better option which I prefer is getting TM Error Logger by Carnation Software. It is a simple to use application that displays just the errors from Time Machine, this is a better option for the novice user who is not as savvy with using console commands.

I keep running into Error 11 for some reason which means it's a hardware exception. I am trying to figure out if it's something specific to the file that was causing the error and how to repair it. Running Disk Utility is my last hope. I'm not sure what else I can try at this point.
